Bulldogs linebacker journeys from Nigeria to Houston to Citadel (The Post and Courier)

Tolu Akindele speaks with a curious accent, a fetching mix of west Africa and south Texas. In his voice, you can hear the lilting tones of Yoruba, the dialect of more than 25 million people in his native Nigeria and other parts of west Africa. You can also hear the Texas drawl of someone who grew up in Houston.
