Retired Army Col. Robert B. Nett, a native of New Haven’s Newhallville section, brought distinction to the city and state of his birth for decades after moving South to pursue a military career that made him one of Connecticut’s three living recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military honor.
