Veteran saw atomic blast ‘brighter than the sun’ (The Cincinnati Enquirer)

WALTON - It was an incredible odyssey for Watson Craft of Walton - from a subsistence farm in Eastern Kentucky to the deck of a Navy submarine in the Sea of Japan, where he saw the atomic blast that devastated Nagasaki and would soon end World War II.
