Fernlight

Just a small traffic divider under the bridge but when the light hits them just right it’s a feast for the eyes.
Polystichum munitum :
" The large rhizomes were dug in the spring and eaten as starvation food" by many west coast nations including Squamish, Sechelt, Nuu-cha-nulth and Haida. " The Rhizomes were roasted over a fire or steamed in a traditional pit oven, then peeled and eaten." (from "Plants of Coastal British Columbia" Pojar/ Mackinnon)
