Schizostachyum sp. Murray Island

One of three bamboos that grow wild on Australian territory. This undescribed species of the otherwise Papuasian genus Schizostachyum grows on Murray Island, a volcanic high island in the Torres Strait between New Guinea and Australia’s Cape York Peninsula.
