With pope’s blessing, Latin masses reborn in Rome, drawing pilgrims anew The Latin Tridentine mass, which largely disappeared from Roman Catholic churches after the Second Vatican Council, is back, with Pope Benedict XVI’s blessing. Now the rite’s revival in Rome is drawing new pilgrims. The Tribune’s Christine Spolar reports.
