Yuri Arajs has played a significant part in the Twin Cities art scene for the past 14 years. As well as being an artist himself and a mentor to others in the field, he helped start the Visible Fringe; co-founded the Outsiders and Others gallery, a home for works by nontraditional artists; curated a show of artwork by homeless people at Mall of America; and runs Placement Gallery.
