Kelley Foster: KC was a good fit for New York native (The Kansas City Star)

Who: Kelley Foster, 46, of Kansas City When and how she died: Sept. 8 of cancer Embraced a new city: Kelley Foster grew up in the Bronx and worked in New York until a friend recruited her to take a job at Hallmark in Kansas City in 2000. Although her Bronx accent marked her as a transplant, she embraced the local culture and quickly became a one-woman welcome wagon for other newcomers.
